What is kUSD

kUSD (Koral USD) is a yield-bearing stablecoin that represents users' capital contributions to the Koral treasury.

kUSD is fully backed by USDC deposited into the treasury, maintaining its value stability at approximately $1.00 USD. This 1:1 backing ensures kUSD functions as a reliable stablecoin within the Koral ecosystem.

The treasury capital is actively deployed to provide liquidity across various protocols, generating consistent returns. These yields are automatically reinvested back into the treasury, increasing the underlying value of each kUSD token over time. Notably, this value appreciation occurs independently of new deposits, creating a self-reinforcing growth mechanism for kUSD.
